This universal steering lock emulator by MK3 is designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with an Electronic Steering Lock (ESL / ELV) system. These vehicles commonly suffer from steering lock failures, where even a working key cannot start the car because the lock mechanism does not disengage.

The emulator allows you to bypass the original steering lock, simulating both its function and the original lock sound, and restores the ability to start the car. This model is not plug and play – programming is required using compatible Mercedes key programming tools.

How to Use:

1. Disconnect the faulty ELV unit from the steering column

2. If the lock is engaged – remove the original unit physically

3. Use a compatible key programmer to read the EIS password

4. Program the emulator to match the car

5. Connect the emulator in place of the original ELV

6. Insert the key – if the LED is green, the car is ready to start
