Mercedes-Benz W204 / W207 / W212 ESL / ELV Steering Lock Emulator with Lock Sound (Programming Required)

Mercedes-Benz models W204, W207, and W212 (2007–2014) commonly suffer from electronic steering lock (ESL / ELV) failure, where even a functioning key cannot start the vehicle because the steering lock doesn’t engage or release.

This emulator fully replaces the original ELV module, bypassing the faulty system. It’s a reliable tool for both diagnostics and permanent fixes. Programming is required – this is not a plug and play device. It must be programmed using a compatible Mercedes key programmer.

Installation Instructions:

1. Disconnect the original ELV module from the steering column

2. If the ELV is locked, it must be physically removed

3. Use a Mercedes key programmer to read the EIS password

4. Program the emulator with vehicle-specific data

5. Connect the emulator to the vehicle

6. Insert the key – if the LED is green, the vehicle is ready to start
